The tourism industry has become one of the fastest growing industries
in the world. Furthermore, the travel and tourism industry has always
been open to new technologies.

With the increased interest in the travel and tourism industry in the
world, developing new information and communication technologies
(ICT) in the travel and tourism industry has become quite important
in these days. Since artificial intelligence technologies can be
considered one of the key technologies in ICT, they should play a
key role in the travel and tourism industry.

Today, AI-based developments in the field are at the forefront. In
fact, AI developments and researches have induced much change in this
industry. We can expect this innovation to continue: at both the
industrial level and the academic level.

This workshop offers a worldwide and unique forum for attendees
from academia, industry, government, and other organizations to
actively exchange, share, and challenge state-of-the-art researches
and industrial case studies on the application of artificial intelligence
technologies to travel and tourism.

Topics to be covered at the workshop include, but are not limited
to, the following areas:

Mobility and embedded intelligence
Natural multilingual interfaces (also novel interface technologies)
Personalization and context-based services
Information-to-knowledge transformations
Recommender Systems
Data mining and knowledge management
User decision modeling and usage analysis
Big Data, Measurement and Analytics
Location-based Services and Context-Aware Systems
Travel Information Search and Retrieval
Social Networking, Social Media and Social Inspiration
AI and Tourism Experience
AI Adoption, Use, and Value Creation
AI-enabled Partnership and Collaboration
AI for Innovation and Service Design

Important dates

Submission due: May 31, 2016
Author notification: June 21, 2016
Camera-ready final version of accepted papers: June 30, 2016
Workshop: August 22 or 23, 2016

Submissions

The workshop contributions must present original results. They must be
formatted using the PRICAI-2016 format (Springer's LNAI style)
(http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs/lncs+authors?SGWID=0-40209-0-0-0). Papers
cannot exceed 12 pages (excluding references). They should be sent to
the following address by e-mail:

ai4tourism@lr.pi.titech.ac.jp.

All the submitted papers will be reviewed by at least two members of
the Program Committee.

At least one different author of each accepted paper should attend the
workshop to present the work. One author of each accepted contribution
in the workshop will have to register during the early registration
period; otherwise, the contribution will not be included in the
program and the proceedings.
